The days are on the run, it seems like it was in a hurry, have you noticed it? We’ve been counting, a hundred days left for voters to register, are you registered yet? If not, what’s holding you back? Who said you’re too young, have you not known your right? You would not wait for someone to cast their vote for you, you cannot pass on to someone the faith of who would be the next to lead our country, it has to be you, the young ones who are greatly affected on the next term, and who will face the repercussions. To the youth of this generation, be wise, check on these people’s credentials and know their character. Commission on Elections (COMELEC) had reminded last June 22, 2021 that there is only a hundred days left, wherein the 30th day of September 2021 is the last day of registration for qualified voters, emphasizing that the Office of the Election Officer is open from Mondays to Friday at around 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The spokesman of COMELEC, James Jimenez had encouraged those who haven’t registered to hurry and to register already. Article 5 Section 1 of the 1987 Constitutional Law indicates that suffrage may be exercised by all citizens of the Philippines who’s at least eighteen years of age, resides in the Philippines for at least a year and in the place where he/she will vote for at least six months. Given that you’ve known you’re qualified, maximize it and allow yourself to get involved, exercise your right because the future is at your hands. Six-year term is no joke, that can do a lot of changes, may it be better or worse. The world is already chaotic, don’t be a fool, don’t let anyone commit an act of treason against us, be proactive, and don’t hide yourself in the comfort of your own private sanctuary.

As a youth, you can save what was left of us

As a youth, you can save what was left of us, be brave enough, allow yourself to know these people who are about to run for political position, scrutinize them, if you’ve done research for your school requirement how much more for these people, gather as much information as you can get from them, listen to their interviews, know their advocacies, don’t allow your own judgement to be moved by those people around you who think they knew better, weigh everything you find  over the internet, identify facts, in the end all of it would be worth it. Think more of how far the previous administrations have come, you should know better by now, maybe you can’t still cast your vote by that time, maybe all you could do is to convince the people around you to save your future, because you still dream bigger, you wanted to entrust things to someone who would value them, but then now you can do, you could be the one to place your vote, and don’t believe them that you’re a single digit out of multitude because a single vote from every youth as a collective whole could be a simple heroic act, you’re saving people, you’re saving lives, more on you’re saving the entirety of our beloved country.
