CSC officers take oath of office

Renz Louie E. Galanto is a current 3rd year BS Medical Laboratory Science Student of Cagayan State University - College of Allied Health Sciences. He is also the Senior Editor-In-Chief of Likha Pahinarya.

Officers-elect of Cagayan State University – Andrews Campus Student Council officially took their oath of offices today, Tuesday, August 24, 2021, which was held via the Zoom Telecommunications App.

It was attended by officials of the campus, including the Campus Executive Officer, Dr. Theresa Dimalanta, who have administered the oath of office, Campus OSDW Coordinator, Dr. Recto A. Aguirre, CSC Advisers, College Deans and outgoing President Arvin Garcia.

 “I’d like to take of my message from your batch name. It says “Kabayanihan: Kabayan, Bayan, Bayani, Bayanihan”, and it speaks well of your goal. It is a process because you are different from one another, but what brings us together is our goal and you should focus on that but not forgetting your differences,” Mr. Aguirre said during his message.

Moreover, the campus OSDW coordinator also expressed its gratefulness to the CSC Officers for wanting to serve and be an agent of change, for dedication to students and to the campus.

​

​

“I only have two things to ask from you, especially to you, Jayson (CSC President). First, lead from the inside out, focus on personal leadership, character, and integrity. Secondly, be good servants. Remember, leadership is about others, not you,” Dr. Dimalanta said.

​

​

In addition, the Campus Executive Officer expects of the same partnership as with last years despite the challenges they have faced and also expressed gratitude for the amazing years of service.

​

​

“Isang bagay na hinding hindi ko po malilimutan sa term namin ay, it’s not how we started, and it’s not even how we end but it’s the journey,” said Mr. Garcia during his turnover speech.

Further, he thanked the newly inducted officers for accepting the challenge and for expanding the service for CSUans.

​

Moreover, several College of Allied Health Sciences students are in new slate of officers which includes Nikolai L. Martin, the Executive Chamber, Chief of Staff and Kevin T. Bancud, Executive Secretary

​

​

 “I will assume another position that has a much bigger responsibility, the presidency of campus student council, I am not telling all this position to brag, but to let everybody know that I think faith prepared me to where I am now. I will wholeheartedly pour out everything that I can to help the whole CSU community, together, with my equally competent officers. With our collaborative efforts, we can make greater things even this time of pandemic,” President-elect Guzman added

At the end, Pres. Guzman formally accepted the task that lies ahead of them.
